Two more SSI instructors at Bonaire Dive & Adventure

A year ago Bonaire Dive & Adventure decided to add the full SSI training program to their services. Of course , all their instructors did a cross-over to comply with the SSI standards. But new staff has to do a cross over too, and that is why Peggy Munten and Sandra Timmermans struggled through the books one more time. Of course they already were dive instructors, but both Peggy and Sandra said it was good to review the theory again and refresh their knowledge. It took them two days of hard labor, but then Peggy and Sandra got the instant gratification of their brand new instructor cards, another SSI specialty. You get your C card within 24 hours!

Rob van de Vegte, manager of the SSI Netherlands Antilles and Aruba Area office on Bonaire printed the cards and SSI Area manager Edwin Sap from Holland was present to hand the cards out. At the celebration party Peggy earned herself a very special reward. In the pool there was a huge fish that was very intriguing. Was it real? Was it painted on the bottom? All dressed up, Peggy jumped in and recovered a real (?) barracuda. Now she is the only one in the world with an SSI Barracuda Recovery Specialty card.
